sum of all fears

Sum Of All Fears is the movie i just finished. The Americans again were very heroic , very sensible undoubtedly , but that didn’t mean …. they showed the russians (oh yeah this is another America vs Russia story) in bad light. Only there were 3-4 corrupt russian generals who as normal went mad and plotted a nuclear war with america , gathering help from extremists from other Countries like S. Africa and France etc. The Russian Prime Minister had no control over his Military and the Russian Prime Minister’s personal Aide were secret patching to pass on each other country’s closest know secrets.
To save the day , Ben Affleck , the hero chatted on Hotline with the russian prime minister while the President of United States could not but in although he desperately wanted to . But in the end the American president became very benovolent and forgave the Russians for droping a Nuclear bomb on Baltimore, USA !!!
As far as i knew ( probably not much :p ) , after a nuke is dropped … the surrounding radius of 20 km or so is supposed to be extremely full of radiation and living beings don’t surive there . quite funnily, in the movie … not only the president survived after being in the middle of it , he started commanding office from the net hour .
In all, i was thinking the movie … gripping in certain parts lacked lot of logical thinking . I know movies are NOT supposed to be hard facts , much of it is always cooked up …. but this and many more such instances i simply could not digest
