phpadsnew google adsense invisionboard wordpress

January 12th, 2006

With the installation of phpAdsNew done , the next steps were understanding about the Publishers and Advertisers , Campaigns , Banners and much more , which would be beyond the scope of this post .. maybe i will cover in another. So lets skip down to the Google Adsense part . Just to let you know I used this in both Invisionboard forums and also in my Wordpress Blog i.e this one. The first part was just generating the Google Adsense code from my Google Adsense account. For generating the Adsense codes, nowadays i mostly use the Mother Earth i.e the default adsense colour schemes , as many reknowned Adsense optimizers advocate using that scheme and not changing the colour to any other.

The code i put in my HTML Banners area in the phpAdsNew interface and generated the Invocation code using Remote Javascript , and NOT local mode . Even in the phpAdsNew2 forum , i think they advocate or rather mention saying this is the best way . Anyway , firstly i was installing the invocation code in the Invisionboard forum using a simple trick learnt from IPSBEYOND, which involved creating a New Settings Group from inside the Tools And Setting . And after the setting was created , all i had to do was invoke the phpAds banner using   {ipb.vars['banner1']}   wherever in the skin i wanted . Till now i have used it in the Table Footer in Topic View and just above Members Online in the Forum View .

For wordpress , it was almost fully my own tweaking and reading from the default wordpress documentation . Since , i use the Blix theme , i have till now used or inserted the phpAdsNew invocation code in 1 place only . Go to your Admin panel > Select Theme > Theme Editor . First you will of course need to CHMOD the file you want to edit - in this case it was the single.php (Single Post ) file . Now at first what you will do is , search for < ?php comments_template(); ?>  and simply put in the code . This will put in your Adsense just under your main post but above the comments box . If people are at all interested in your post , they will either surely read though to the end of your post and might even be interested in leaving a comment . If you are realy interested in them clicking on a Ad , that would be the most appropiate place IMO.

I also , used a Google Search Box - one i placed just above the Category Box in the Sidebar.php (Sidebar ) file and nowadays with Wordpress 2 , we have a 404 file premade so i also put in a google search box code there just above the < ?php get_sidebar(); ?> . If people search for something and then arrive at your site and DO NOT find it , a search box , even with your own domain site search option would surely be beneficial . :)
After you are done inserting the codes , make sure you once again CHMOD the files back to what it was . Happy Earnings :D

Hi, I have found a few wordpress - made for adsense templates. I am looking for one that is more “successful”, even if its not made for wordpress (I can convert it).
Can someone point me into that direction. Trying to speed up my contextual sites.
here are what I found (if one you recommend is on this list, just tell me.).
    xttp://www.sapiensbryan.com/index.ph…me-ads-minded/
    xttp://pilkster.com/wordpress-themes-for-adsense/
    Anything else?
I also can take a look at sights that have successful ctr adsense templates (But unless you want it public, please PM me it.)
OK I Just realized I mispelled Wordpress in the title, Man I am an Idiot.!
Ok now I am a bigger idiot for not realizing the “go to advance” edit. so i fixed my misspelling.
