designing html newsletters
February 12th, 2006
i love designing newsletters , the html ones . Wether they are good or bad , that somone else should obviously judge , not me … but i remember even since the time of Flashgear and now with DTV , i thoroughly enjoyed creating them . The latest one on Valentine’s Day - took me almost 4 days , finishing it part by part , with gaps in between of course due to content .
Not only i enjoy maintaining a theme , i.e a simmilar kind of structure to the previous versions, i also feel a good amount of time needs to be devoted to the actual content , textual portion. Hopefully if i had some help from ppl who can write precise , interesting and probably more provocative matter . One thing i have definitely known that efficient newsletters must have several call to action links. And also to use a top banner - which clearly identifies where the email is from , which sticks out anywhere the email is browsed thru so that the recipient doesnt delete it cnsidering it as a normal spam .
Anyway , i will update this later .. gotta go now !
