google chat messenger lightweight champion
April 10th, 2006
Google Chat - have you ever used it ? I am a regular chatter on many messengers when i get the time . I do get time because my work is always on the internet . I have i think over 200 Yahoo people on my list and around 120 in MSNÂ messenger . I love both Yahoo Messnger as well as MSN Messsenger because of different reasons . While MSN allows you to create and even use numerous kinds of Smileys , which are way better than Yahoo at any time , Yahoo has a cute addon called Audibles , which are Voice Smileys … and most of them are quite hilarious and useful and well thought off . Yahoo has another advantage over MSN which is the offline Messaging which allows 2 people to communicate or drop a message even when the partner is unavaialble .
However , recently i noticed the Google Chat or Gmail Chat messenger which has ONE primary functionability which scores over both Yahoo and Msn , i.e. No install required . As long as you are logged in to your gmail account , you can simply type in and find other Gmail users on your list and send them msgs . Its quite lightweight , definitely much more lightweight than Yahoo or MSN and also allows you store your offline or chat histories .
